In my perspective I would definitely have to say this Era was the beginning of true Democracy. I say this because this is where we begin to see real equality for the majority of people. This includes lower class citizens, factory workers, blacks, and even women. I’d really have to say this was America’s first step into being what we see today, and for the first time in our history the poor man did have to say. This was what the Progressive Era meant to me. One of the innovations I would have to say that definitely changed our world was the Sky Scraper. I feel this way because I think the way buildings were built brought a certain connation with them. So with the buildings looking the way they do now, I think that brought us a little closer to the modern age we are in now. Also I felt this provided the working class with a better working space, this was definitely a step up from the typical factories we saw during the early 1900s. That is why I say the Sky Scraper changed society.
